Small Spotted Genet


The Small Spotted Genet is marginally smallest than the large Spotted Genet, and the markings are more particular in high contrast and without a corroded hint. The tail is white-tipped, rather than the dark-tipped tail of the Huge Spotted Genet. Generally speaking, body tone is more of a filthy white covered with dark spots and shaping lines from the head to the tail. Along the spine is a peak of erectile long dark hairs. It has unmistakable white patches on the face underneath the eyes, which are less conspicuous around the mouth and on the brow. They have retractile paws. Tails are long and ringed highly contrasting.


Diet

The Little Spotted Genet has a diet regimen that comprises primarily of little well-evolved mammals and bugs. Bats, birds, reptiles, amphibians of land and water, millipedes, centipedes, and scorpions have been recorded as their food source. Apparently to eat fewer organic products than the Large Spotted Genet.


Where Small Spotted Genet Are Found

Although the Small Spotted Genet seems to have a wide reach through a large portion of Southern Africa, inside that it has a disjunct event matching dominatingly with the drier regions or areas of Southern Africa. It is missing from the west bank of Namibia as well as the west and southwest shoreline of South Africa.
